Oriental Museum visit

Years 3 and 4 had a fantastic day out earlier this week when we visited the Oriental Museum in Durham as part of our Temples, Tombs and Treasures topic.  The children found out lots about Ancient Egypt, handled genuine Egyptian artefacts and even met a mummy! Best of all though, was when the children got to mummify one of the class and sent him on his way to the afterlife!

The Tiger Child Assembly

A huge well done to all the children for their performance in today's assembly. What Miss Fenny and I valued the most was seeing the children enjoying themselves and rising to the challenge of performing in front of an audience.
Thank you to parents for the costumes, your time supporting your child with their lines and for coming along today.

It was a really lovely assembly!

Welcome back to the spring term

A very warm welcome back to school to both parents and children.

The children have settled well in to the new term and are already busy rehearsing for our year 3 Class Assembly. (Photos to follow!) I have recorded the costume needed in your child's diary. Please could these be ready for Wednesday 13/1/19?

A Year 3 termly letter will be forthcoming which has lots of information about curriculum topics  and practical matters for the term.

Thank you for your on-going support.

This is just to give a little advanced notice as to the costume which your child will need.
