What a lovely way to end a busy week....reading to children in Early Years Foundation Stage in their out-door classroom in the warm sunshine.
Drama in the Year 3 classroom!
This week in English, our focus has been on play scripts. For our Big Write, the children will be writing a play script of a scene from The Witches. To develop their understanding of the scene, the children have been listening to the story of The Witches and watching a clip from the film. Today, the children had lots of fun acting out the scene. Ben did a very convincing job of acting out the witch who gets frazzled and Esther was a scary and very bossy Grand High Witch. Well done to everyone. I am very much looking forward to reading the children's play scripts next week.
Being kind to our minds
Our first week of the summer term began with a focus on the importance of looking after our minds as well as our bodies. As part of Mental Health Awareness Week, children in Year 3 have been eating healthy fruits ('Fruity Friday'), running a mile around our field and taking part in a range of relaxation and work out activities.
